Cold Insulation

Cold insulation is selected to match the thermal requirements of the system being insulated.

Cold insulation prevents condensation at temperatures at dew point or below and saves energy.

An effective and properly insulated chilled system prevents costly thermal loss and reduces operating costs.  Popular forms of insulation are Armaflex, PIC, Fibreglass, Foam Glass, Elastomerics and Polystyrene.

Polyurethane Foam

Effective insulation with a low thermal conductivity for substances below freezing i.e, nitrogen, liquid carbon dioxide and butane. Polyurethane foam also allows for low smoke emission and low water vapor permeability.

Rubber Foam

Rubber foam is also often recommended for condensation control as the closed cell technology is highly resistant to moisture vapor.
